Oh, hello..

Bubaruba are husband and wife art duo Anna Mikhelson and Maksim Bushuyev. Together they create original hand-made silk screen prints. Each print piece is handmade in limited quantities on beautiful watercolour paper, offering subtle and unique colour differences on each individual print. They began their printmaking journey together when they both enrolled in a ‘Intro to Printmaking’ course at Hunter College in New York. Their prints are largely inspired by the nature they’ve seen on their travels.

Outside of printmaking, Anna and Maksim also dabble in individual artistic mediums. Anna is a ceramic artist; she primarily creates collage-like 3D wall art from stoneware clay. Maksim specializes in hyper detail oriented drawings that are a mixture of realism and fantasy.

Bubaruba are currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
